Today is Rohan’s 6 month Birthday and I swear it is still surreal that I have a baby let alone that he has been here 6 months already. When parents tell you that time flies by they are not joking. My pregnancy, delivery and these first six months feel like a week.
Now that I have been in mommy mode for 6 months I feel like I can actually speak to which baby products are really my favorite and ones that I just can’t live without! I am an innovative baby products junkie and am always in search of modern looking baby products that will blend in well with our home decor. These 5 baby products have been my favorite in the tech savvy, modern & innovative department.
1.) Doona Convertible Carseat/Stroller: My Doona is by far my absolute favorite cannot live without baby product. This is a carseat that has wheels and automatically converts to a stroller with the pull of a handle. I know. I know. I am gonna let that sink in a moment for you. There is no lugging around a heavy carseat or getting a stroller base out of the trunk. You simply lift the carseat out of the base, pull the lever on the back and the wheels come down and you have a stroller. It is even more convenient for traveling because you only need to bring the one thing and getting in and out of taxi’s and ubers with it are a breeze! Total game changer!
2.) Nest Camera: I use the Nest security cameras as baby monitors and as a nanny/babysitter cam and I love them! I have one in my living room/kitchen/breakfast nook area and one in the nursery. They bring me the most amazing peace of mind when I have to leave for work, running errands or when we have a date night. They connect with an app on your phone and as long as you have WIFI you can view everything happening in your home with your baby while you are away. You can hear through them, speak through them, it has night vision, can alert you via a message if there is sound or movement in the specified room, they zoom in and out and have a 360 wide angle so you can pretty much see every area of the room they are in. I am obsessed!
3.) Bloom Fresco Highchair: Now I will start off by saying that this highchair is very expensive in terms of highchairs but I thought it was worth the investment since you can use it from birth to 8 years old. The bloom fresco is very modern and resembles a half egg. It has 3 levels of reclining and 2 levels of height. As a newborn we used it as a cradle that Rohan often slept in while we ate or I cooked. Now we have added on the tray and it serves as a normal highchair. Once he is older the tray can be removed and the recline goes to straight up and down and the highchair can be used almost like a booster seat when pushed closer to the dining table. All in all I am very happy with this investment and the modern look blends in very nicely with our home decor.
4.) Phillips Avent Sound Monitor: I use the Nest cam as a video baby monitor and although you can hear through it, I still wanted a sound monitor because I am a paranoid first time mommy. I researched everywhere and this sound monitor ranked #1 every time. It has too many great functions to list but I personally use and love the sensitivity levels, the room temperature, the vibrate alert (in case you are watching a movie, have people over etc), the lullaby mode which plays 5 different lullabies with no words and automatically turns off after 30 minutes and the nightlight.
5.) Aden+Anais Serenity Star: This is another product that serves multiple functions that are so useful. It is a fantastic nightlight, a white noise sound machine, a lullaby player, a clock and a breastfeeding reminder. I am all about baby products that do multiple jobs to help avoid clutter and unnecessary costs. You can find it at Modern Baby.
We have 4 Nest Cameras and 3 Arlo ones….I actually think the Arlo ones have more clear video!
Really? Ok awesome I will have to look into those!
